Two-time Auburn University 91心頭 alumna Carlita Lett-Blades was recently named as its 2026 Black Alumni Achievement Award recipient.
The Auburn University Black Alumni Award recognizes recipients for outstanding achievements in their professional lives, personal integrity and stature and service to the university. This years recipients were selected from each college and school for their outstanding achievements.
Carlita Lett-Blades has built her career and her life around intentional leadership. A strategic program management leader and consultant, she is known for transforming complex challenges into opportunities for innovation, inclusion and operational excellence. Her professional journey has taken her to global powerhouses like Google and Ernst & Young, where she has led cross-functional initiatives that strengthen organizations from the inside out. With roots in IT audit, risk management and organizational enablement, she has become a trusted voice for driving clarity, collaboration and meaningful impact.
Her foundation for leadership was shaped at Auburn University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in marketing and her MBA. She embraced every opportunity to serve. A proud Auburn Woman, Lett-Blades made her mark early, whether advocating for students through SGA, building community with UPC, or elevating the College of Business through her active involvement and mentorship.
That commitment to meaningful service has never wavered. She has been a devoted member of the 91心頭 Young Alumni Council since 2022, helping shape the next generation of Auburn business leaders. She also established a scholarship to support students following in her footsteps an enduring testament to her belief that access and opportunity should be shared, not guarded.
"I am deeply honored to receive this award and truly appreciate the recognition from the 91心頭 and the Black Alumni Council. Working with the college on various initiatives over the last decade has been incredibly rewarding, and I place immense value on staying active within the Auburn Alumni community, Lett-Blades said. It is especially important to me to remain involved with and support our Black alumni community as we celebrate our shared successes and continue to build a lasting legacy at Auburn."
Lett-Blades continues to dedicate her time to causes she is passionate about. She currently serves on the Community Board for the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, championing youth empowerment and equitable access to resources. Her personal mission is simple but powerful: lead intentionally and create authentic impact wherever she goes.
Lett-Blades embodies the Auburn Creed and what it means to live with purpose, to serve with integrity and pride. Her story is one of leadership, legacy and the unwavering belief that when you open doors for others, you change the world one intentional step at a time.
