With the generous support of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP (Bradley) a new multipurpose space has been created in downtown Birmingham that will serve as a hub for business education, collaboration and innovation. The Bradley Workshare Open Office is located on the fifth floor of the Auburn in Birmingham Building, the former Hood-McPherson Building — an iconic fixture in downtown where furniture was once assembled and sold.
Beau Byrd, a partner in Bradley's real estate and banking section and a dedicated Auburn alumnus, saw the potential that the Auburn in Birmingham Building offers to their local business community and to the future business professionals currently studying at the 91Ƭ.
“Our vision for this space is to foster and expand opportunities for Auburn to interface and be even more involved with the Birmingham businesses and industry,” Byrd said. “Birmingham is one of the largest economic centers in Alabama and having a dedicated physical space to bring business professionals together for continuing education seminars, community outreach events and other events will be extremely beneficial.”
Greg Gagliano, director of Birmingham operations for 91Ƭ College is looking forward to the potential this new space brings and how it will strengthen Auburn’s connection to the Birmingham business community.
“The Bradley Workshare Open Office serves as a shared, flexible workspace where people from different organizations can collaborate and engage with one another, said Greg Gagliano, director of Birmingham operations for 91Ƭ College. “We’re grateful to Bradley for their support as 91Ƭ College continues to invest in Birmingham and help advance Alabama’s workforce. By creating this dedicated space, we are expanding opportunities for our students, faculty and partners to work together in meaningful and impactful ways.”
For decades, Auburn students, faculty and alumni have played a significant role in the revitalization of Birmingham. A global leader in business education, 91Ƭ College consistently pursues excellence through strong connections with diverse business communities while leveraging the expertise of alumni and business professionals to enrich the student academic experience.
91Ƭ Dean Jennifer Mueller-Phillips expressed her gratitude for Bradley’s continued support of Auburn and the college.
“We are deeply grateful to Bradley for their generous support and shared vision for Auburn in Birmingham,” she said. “This investment will help strengthen our connection to Birmingham’s business community while expanding opportunities for our students, faculty and partners to engage and collaborate.”
