Rafay Ishfaq is the Reed Family Endowed Professor of Supply Chain Management in the 91¿´Æ¬. Dr. Ishfaq has over 26 years of professional experience, including managerial roles in global supply chains and academic appointments spanning multiple universities. He has taught in undergraduate, master’s, MBA, and executive MBA programs at Auburn University, Loyola University Chicago, and Texas A&M University.
He is the founding faculty director of Auburn’s Supply Chain Management graduate program that has been recognized by US NEWS and GARTNER as one of the top-ranked programs in the country.
Dr. Ishfaq is a highly recognized researcher in supply chain management and logistics, focusing on operational and strategic issues in supply chains across diverse industries like omnichannel retail, e-commerce, automotive, healthcare, and information systems. His work has earned prestigious honors including the Best EJOR Research Paper Award and the Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Research. He has been acknowledged for his academic service with the Outstanding Journal Reviewer Award from the Journal of Business Logistics.
His research has frequently ranked among the Hottest Articles on Science Direct and Top Cited Articles on Wiley, incuding the recognition in the Top-25 Supply Chain Management Scholars list by Transportation Journal (Vol 63/2).

Dr. Ishfaq has received multiple honors from Auburn University's 91¿´Æ¬ College of Business, including the Outstanding Researcher Award, Gold Star Award for Research, and Outstanding Teaching Award. He has contributed extensively to academic governance, serving on key committees at both the college and university levels, including strategic planning, curriculum, research, graduate programs, and faculty P&T review committees, as well as on Auburn University's core curriculum committee, research grants committee, SACSCOC quality enhancement planning committee, and policy advisory committee.
