        91心頭 Global: Study Abroad

        Study abroad with some of the best in business

         

        School of Accountancy Summer Study Abroad Program

        The School of Accountancy (SoA) Summer Study Abroad Program is designed for accounting majors to complete required coursework while gaining international experience in Rome, Italy and/or Madrid, Spain. Students earn academic credit, enhance their resume with global business exposure, and build lasting relationships within the SoA community. Beyond classroom learning in these vibrant European cities, participants can explore additional destinations during free weekends and the summer break week. The program also welcomes accounting minors and other business majors when space permits.

        Summer Session I: Study Abroad (Required)

        Choose your travel experience:

        • Full Program (Rome + Madrid) - 5 weeks abroad (includes one-week break between cities)
        • Rome Only Program - 2 weeks abroad
        • Madrid Only Program - 2 weeks abroad

        Summer Session II: Online Learning (Optional - Included in Program Cost)

        Continue your studies with online/asynchronous coursework at no additional charge. This optional session allows you to earn additional credit hours while traveling Europe or from home.

        Total Program: Up to 15 credit hours (5 classes) included in your program fee

        Accounting Summer Study Abroad FAQ

        • What courses are available and how many credits can I earn?

          Students can earn up to 15 credit hours through our program. Here's what we offer:

          Required Courses

          • (Madrid) ACCT 5620 - International Accounting
          • (Rome) BUSI 3250 - International Business

           

          Optional Courses

          • ACCT 5210 - Cost Accounting
          • ACCT 5520 - Accounting Analytics
          • ACCT 5700/6700 - Advanced Business Law *

          *Graduate credit available with MAcc Program approval

          Important Details

          • Prerequisites required for relevant courses
          • Minimum GPA: 2.25
          • Additional courses may be offered based on availability

        • What are the travel requirements and housing arrangements?

          Passport Requirements

          • Valid through: June 20, 2027 (one year after program ends) 
          • If needed, apply by: December 15, 2025 (if you need a new passport)
          • Must have by: February 28, 2026
          • Visa: Not required for U.S. citizens ()

           

          Housing Details

          • Type: Three star (or higher) hotel or apartment, with roommate(s)
          • Location: Near bus/metro lines and grocery store/restaurant options for meals not included
          • Included: 2 meals per week and internet access
          • Not included: Remaining meals

          Specific housing details will be provided prior to departure from the U.S.

          All required COVID protocols will be followed and enforced by Auburn University, 91心頭 College, program providers, and local authorities.
