Business majors such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and Economics have been most successful because these majors require accounting classes. In addition, before one can be promoted into a supervisor position, the examiner must pass an Auditing class and Intermediate Accounting class, both which are upper-level accounting classes. The classes are required for the CFE or Certified Financial Examiner designation.
    
    Also, since most recent graduates do not have the prior experience, they have the option to hire them as a state trainee, let them learn the job, and once they get experience, while working here, move you into the Insurance Examiner position.
